SAHA has established a curatorial research program aiming to provide opportunities for international curators to deepen their research on contemporary art production in Turkey.  

The program provides short-term accommodation and research guidance for curators interested in conducting field research in Turkey.

All applications to SAHA are first reviewed by the team. Applications that meet the basic criteria are presented to the Board of Directors for approval. The Advisory Board is consulted if and when necessary.

 

SAHA Association provides resident guests the following;

- Short-term bed and breakfast accommodation (up to one week) at SAHA Flats, Galata

- Office facilities

- Assistance during the research

 

SAHA expects that the participating curators conduct a workshop during their stay in Istanbul and provide a short feedback report at the end of their research.

Who may apply?

Institutions may apply on behalf of curators appointed to work on specific exhibition projects, in order to support their research process in Turkey.

A full proposal for funding should include the following:

- Information about the exhibition to be curated by the curator who will conduct the research process; if applying for the first time, a brief description of the organization's mission and goals.

- A letter summarizing the curator’s areas of research and interest

Proposals may be submitted either by mail or by e-mail. Please select only one method of application and send only one copy.
