Delfina Foundation is inviting applicants from Turkey for the Research Fellowship 2013, which is in partnership with Iniva (Institute of International Visual Arts) and Goldsmiths College’s Department of Visual Cultures and the PhD Program in Curatorial/Knowledge. SAHA is supporting a research fellow from Turkey to be in residence. The applicants from Turkey should apply to Delfina Foundation.

The deadline: 23 July 2013.

The Research Fellowship 2013 aims to provide an opportunity for intensive research in the field of visual culture by curators and researchers who have an innovative visual culture project, and who might benefit from the research and curatorial work that is being done by the fellowship's partner institutions in London. Artists are welcome to apply; however this residency is largely focused on the development of critical-curatorial discourse, not singularly on artistic practice.

About Delfina Foundation

The Delfina Foundation (DF) is an independent, non-profit organisation dedicated to facilitating artistic exchange through residencies, partnerships and public programming. Since 2007, DF has supported international collaborations between the UK and the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia region. Our aim is to develop and support, often under represented artists, writers and curators with a platform to showcase their ideas to leading arts professionals and art lovers alike.

When Delfina Foundation (DF) opens an expanded space in 2014, we will launch a new residency model around seasonal programmes.  Three of the seasons will be thematically focussed and the summer season will concentrate on emerging practitioners or those who may be established but seeking a new direction for their work. Residents - a mix of artists, curators and thinkers- will be selected either by direct invitation or asked to apply.  During each season, we will host a maximum of six residents for three-months and six visitors for up to two weeks.

Residency Program Themes: • Winter:  Food & Ecology
• Spring:  Public space and notions of the common
• Summer:  Open-ended / no theme
• Autumn:  Collections & archives
