Beatriz Colomina is the Howard Crosby Butler Professor of the History of Architecture and founding director of the Media and Modernity program at Princeton University. She has written extensively on architecture, art, sexuality, and media. Together with Mark Wigley, she curated the 3rd Istanbul Design Biennial, Are We Human? The Design of the Species: 2 Seconds, 2 Days, 2 Years, 200 Years, 200,000 Years (2016). Her books include Sexuality and Space (1992), Privacy and Publicity: Modern Architecture as Mass Media (1994), Domesticity at War (2007), Clip/Stamp/Fold (2010), Are We Human? Notes on an Archaeology of Design (with Mark Wigley, 2016), X-Ray Architecture (2019), and Radical Pedagogies (2022).
