Luuk is the managing director of Onomatopee (Eindhoven). Onomatopee Projects is a curating and editorially led public gallery and publisher that is particularly known for its self-initiated and transdisciplinary projects. Furthermore, Onomatopee also has a Riso workshop, hosts the projects of progressive individuals as well as artist-run and institutional organizations. He was the artistic director of FLACC (2009- september 2022), workplace for visual artists in Genk (Belgium). In the workplace projects is an focuss on development, experiment and reflection. He worked since 2009 with more then 125 artists, including Aslan Gaisumov, Goldin+Senneby, Stephanie Syjuco, Thomas Raat, Vincent Meessen, Nikita Kadan, Antonio Vega Macotela, Ariane Loze, Ximena Garrido-Lecca, Yuri Pattison, James Beckett, Samson Young and Trevor Paglen. Recent FLACC projects have been shown at (among onthers) M HKA, Wiels, Z33, Bonnefantenmuseum, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Tate Modern, Haus Kulturen der Welt, Centre Pompidou and the biennales of Venice, Liverpool and Riga. Luuk curated exhibitions at a.o. MUHKA (Antwerp), Netwerk (Aalst), Schunck* (Heerlen) and C-mine cultuurcentrum (Genk). He is an advisor for the Dutch Mondriaan Funds and the Flemish Goverment.
